Pharmacological properties
Phenibut, which is part of the drug, has a positive effect on metabolic processes in the brain's nerve cells. It exhibits nootropic activity, and as the derivative GABA has anxiolytic (tranquilization) action. It does not affect choino and adrenoreceptors. Enhancing inhibitory GABA-erical processes, affects the functional state due to the normalization of metabolism and the effect on cerebral circulation.
It has a pronounced stress-corvigative effect, provides normalization of the processes of excitation and inhibition in the central nervous system.
The drug is quickly absorbed after oral intake and penetrates well into all tissues of the body, passes through the blood-brain barrier. 80-95% of the drug is metabolized in the liver to inactive metabolites. 5% is excreted from the body by the kidneys unchanged.
Application
Antistress is prescribed to reduce excitation and correct psychogenic disorders in cats and dogs in case of stress, phobias, aggression for no apparent reason and for increased sexual arousal (together with contraceptives), to prevent suffification.
Dosage
Drops Antistress are used to cats and dogs orally on the root of the tongue, twice a day, in the following doses:
- cats - 1 drop of the drug (4 mg of phenibut) per 1 kg of animal body weight
- dogs - 2 drops of the drug (8 mg of phenibut) per 1 kg of animal body weight
The course of use of the drug is 10-15 days. In the presence of signs of severe excitement and psychogenic disorders of behavior (aggression, fear, hyperactivity, hypersexuality), the course can be extended to 20 days.
In case of repeated manifestation of signs of violation and / or behavioral disorders - the course of use of the drug is repeated in the same doses, according to the same scheme.
In order to prevent stress (transporting, changing conditions, explosions of pyrotechnics, departure of the owner, participation in exhibitions and competitions), the drug is used 3-5 days before
The next event and within 1-4 days after its end.
For the prevention of inhibition, it is used once in the above doses 1-2 hours before the start of transportation of the animal. In case of pronounced signs of pumping (bloating) use of the drug is ineffective.
To correct behavior for increased sexual activity, Antistress drops are used in the same doses in conjunction with contraceptives. The duration of the course of treatment depends
from individual sensitivity of animals and the degree of their excitement.
Contraindications
Individual sensitivity to the components of the drug (in particular in history), acute and chronic renal failure, diabetes.

During the use of the drug, according to the instructions of adverse reactions, no detected. Storage
